Here to help you. I've been playing guitar for 12 years, 6 of which have been studio recording experience and I'm a currently a Senior Audio Engineer Student. I'm new to this platform and eager to help you with many projects to come. I'm fluent in English, French and Spanish so communication won't be a problem :D

Hi, my name is Felipe, I'm a young musician from Bogotá, Colombia. I play guitar since I was a kid and I am happy to study the instrument constantly. I have recorded guitars for genres such as pop, rock, ambient, and worked on different projects such as Singles, EP and Albums.

I'm fortunate enough to count with a well equipped home studio with acoustic treatment, studio monitors, acoustic guitars, electric guitars with single coils, P90s and humbuckers. I can send you audio tracks captured with my microphones and/or clean for you to reamp if you prefer.

I can assure you I will do my absolute best for these tracks to be edited, premixed and ready just for you to add them into your session.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Where does the song come from and what are you looking to achieve?
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Daniel Uribe has been definitively a reference point for a while now. Both in compromise with the music he works on and musicianship growth.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The opportunity to make an impact on someone’s music.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am very proud to have participated as a guitarist and mixing engineer on EBAN's album "dd.mm.aa", both in music and audio result.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: With my band Caset we are now working on an album to release next year :) I'm also producing an EP and singles for other artists.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will work until you love the song as much as I do. What matters most to me is for you to be proud of our project and to be able to show it to anyone.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I charge too little. I care right now not to earn a lot quickly but to build a portfolio that I'm proud of and will open further opportunities later on.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing guitar 12 years ago. I have been studying with private teachers most of that time but also doing an Undergraduate program at EMMAT which is a Berklee partner, and right now I am finishing my Audio Engineer degree. Meanwhile I have grown my home-studio and worked my music skills to be able to record professionally.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Sebastian Yatra has been an music inspiration all my career, both in lyrics and musicianship.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop music and variety.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: That I'm constantly exposed to every pop subgenre to be influenced and enriched.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Dedication.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First I make sure to understand what we are looking to achieve. Then I'll load the song into a session and start looking for the sound we discussed; try different mic positioning, guitar pickups and plugins. Then start recording. Finally send the results and listen to your feedback.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I either record from a UAD Sphere lx mic to the acoustic guitar or my THR30 amp, or directly to the Apollo Solo Interface to record clean tacks easy to use on amp simulators or reamp. I have aimed to own different pickups to cover a wide range of music genres: I have Single Coils, P90s and Humbucker pickups.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually I record guitars for them virtually. I receive an audio file of the song and I add guitar tracks to it.
