Interview with Kamikaze Records

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: Make side chain manually between kick-bass to get enough punch without lose dynamic and keep dynamic range. Good recordings make workflow easier

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: Urban Music (Latin, Afrobeat, Reggaeton, Trap, Hip Hop etc.)

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: My skills are focused on mixing and mastering, delivering records that sound powerful, polished, and competitive in today’s music industry. My work with vocals is one of my strongest assets and is consistently recognized by the artists I collaborate with, achieving vocal sounds that are clear, present, expressive, and perfectly integrated into the mix.

  7. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  8. A: I focus on elevating the production level of each song by bringing strong vocal direction and a clear vision for sound design and textures. I specialize in transforming rough demos into polished records, enhancing performances, depth, and sonic character while always preserving the artist’s identity. My goal is to push every project to its highest potential, delivering consistent professional quality from concept to final master.

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: My process starts by listening deeply to the song and visualizing its full potential, especially in terms of performance and interpretation, to enhance the listener’s attention and emotional impact. I then proceed to organize and clean the session, editing only what is necessary to maintain a natural and musical feel. From there, I build the mix using a static mix approach, focusing on balance, space, and intention before applying any processing. Once the foundation is solid, I move into processing, enhancing tone, dynamics, depth, and character while preserving the identity of the song. This method ensures clarity, impact, and musical coherence, resulting in mixes that feel intentional, modern, and engaging from the first listen.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
