Music producer, mixing & mastering engineer based in Buenos Aires with a growing international presence. Over +15M streams worldwide, charting releases and editorial support from Spotify, Apple Music & Amazon Music. I deliver club-ready, modern mixes and industry-level masters for electronic & pop artists.

I’m a music producer and mixing & mastering engineer based in Buenos Aires, working remotely with artists worldwide.

My main focus is full production, co-production, mixing and analog mastering for electronic and pop artists who want a modern, emotional and release-ready sound.

Alongside my own artist career, I’ve worked on projects with 15M+ streams worldwide, charting releases and editorial support across Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. I’m also part of Enhanced Music Publishing, operating within a global international ecosystem (Netflix, BBC, FOX, Universal, Warner Bros, Ubisoft, Maserati, Jaguar, Paramount and Amazon Studios).

What I offer:

• Full production & co-production from demo to final master
• Professional mixing with clarity, depth and impact
• Analog mastering via a trusted mastering engineer
• Honest feedback and creative guidance before and during the process
• Fast communication and regular progress updates

Why hire me:

I understand the artist perspective, not just the technical side. I help shape songs so they translate emotionally and sonically, whether for labels, playlists or independent releases.

Most projects are delivered within 1–2 weeks, depending on the scope.

If you’re looking for someone who can guide your track from idea to final master while respecting your identity and vision, I’d be happy to connect.

Interview with Mati Troglia

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I’m especially proud of several releases where I handled full production, mixing and mastering that went on to be signed by major European labels and supported by artists like Don Diablo, INNA and Petit Biscuit. My role was shaping the sound from early ideas to final master, making sure the track was both emotionally strong and release-ready.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m currently working on a mix of full productions, co-productions, mixing and analog mastering projects for international artists, while also developing my own artist project focused on melodic and club-oriented electronic music.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: At the moment I’m focused on my own services, but I’m always happy to recommend trusted collaborators if a project requires a specific instrument, voice or specialty beyond my scope.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Both. I produce and mix digitally for precision and flexibility, and master in analog for depth, warmth and musicality. That combination gives the best of both worlds.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise is to treat every project as if it were my own: full commitment, honest feedback, clear communication and a final result that’s ready to compete at an industry level.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Helping artists turn ideas into finished, release-ready records. I really enjoy shaping emotion, clarity and impact, and seeing how a song evolves from a rough idea into something professional and confident.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Clients usually ask how involved the process is and how much feedback they’ll have. My answer is always the same: it’s fully collaborative. I keep communication open, share progress regularly, and make sure the final result truly represents their vision.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: The biggest misconception is that mixing, mastering or production are just technical processes. In reality, they’re creative decisions that shape the emotion, impact and identity of a song, and can make a huge difference in how it connects with listeners and labels.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I usually ask about the artist’s vision, references, goals for the release, and where they want to take the project. I also ask what stage the song is in, timelines, and how involved they want to be during the process, so we can work efficiently and get the best result.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Be clear about your vision and references, and choose someone who understands both the artistic and technical side of your music. Communication is key, the best results come from trust, feedback, and working with someone who truly cares about your sound and your goals.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: My laptop, a reliable audio interface, professional headphones, a MIDI keyboard, and a pair of studio monitors.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started my professional career in 2020, first focusing on developing my own sound as an artist. As my project grew, I began working with other artists worldwide on full productions, mixing and mastering, while continuing to release my own music. Over the years I’ve signed releases with more than 15 European labels (Soave, Gahara, Chapter Eigth, Atlast and more), received support from artists like Don Diablo, INNA and Petit Biscuit, and eventually became part of Enhanced Music Publishing (London). Today I balance my own artist career with producing, mixing and mastering for other artists internationally.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Emotional, modern and detail-driven. I focus on strong melodies, atmosphere and clarity, blending electronic and organic elements to create music that feels both intimate and release-ready.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Billie Eilish, because of her fearless approach to minimalism, emotion-first songwriting, and sound design. Her work proves that intimacy, space and intention can be more powerful than complexity, which aligns deeply with how I approach production and mixing.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Always focus on the emotion and intent of the song before adding more sounds. If the core idea works with just a few elements, the production, mix and master will naturally translate better everywhere.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I mostly work on melodic electronic music, spanning melodic house, minimal tech and electronic pop. I also collaborate with vocalists and songwriters, developing songs from early ideas to release-ready productions with a strong focus on emotion, groove and clarity.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Creating strong melodies and delivering clean, powerful mixes and analog masters.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring musical identity, structure and clarity. From production to mix and analog mastering, I help shape songs into release-ready records while respecting the artist’s vision.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: My process often starts with producing tracks from scratch or developing an idea together with the artist. I focus on building a strong musical identity first, then move into detailed mixing and finish with analog mastering. Throughout the process, I stay in close communication and share previews to ensure a release-ready result.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio is a hybrid setup. Mixing is done fully in-the-box with a focus on clarity, balance and impact, while mastering is handled through analog processing to add depth, warmth and cohesion. The studio is calibrated for accurate monitoring and consistent translation across systems.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I’m inspired by producers and artists who combine strong musical identity with high-level production, such as Jon Hopkins, Ben Böhmer, Fred again.., ODESZA, SG Lewis and Billie Eilish. I also draw inspiration from mix engineers who focus on emotion, space and translation across systems.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Most of my work involves full track development for electronic and pop artists, including production, co-production, mixing and analog mastering. I help artists refine their sound, elevate the production to release-ready level, and ensure the final record translates well across clubs, streaming platforms and labels.
