Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Eric Barfield. He's one of the best, nicest keyboard players I know. And he's a heck of a producer!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. It's all about quality of sound and quality of workflow. Analog equipment has the benefit of actually processing the electrical audio signal, giving characteristics that still can't be fully replicated digitally (some software comes REALLY close). Digital / In-The-Box has the major advantage of speed and ability to quickly recall projects and settings for revisions. The most important thing is knowing the gear you have, and setting up your working environment in the best sounding, most efficient way possible.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: - 1176 - Chandler Germanium Pre - Juno 106 - 1976 Fender P-Bass - Telefunken 251
