A: That real drums are harder to integrate than MIDI. In reality, well-recorded acoustic drums often sit better in a mix.

A: I usually ask for the song, BPM, references, and whether they want the drums to closely follow a MIDI track or allow creative freedom.

A: Share clear references and be open about your expectations. Good communication always leads to better results.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A snare drum, a kick pedal, a hi-hat, a pair of drumsticks, and a portable recorder. Groove always comes first.

A: I’ve been playing drums for nearly 20 years, performing live and recording with different bands across multiple styles. In recent years, I’ve focused on remote session work.

A: Clients send the track, BPM and references. I record drums tailored to the song’s feel and structure, then deliver high-quality multitrack stems. Revisions are included to fine-tune details.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record in my personal studio using an acoustic drum kit with a multi-mic setup, industry-standard microphones and a clean signal chain. I deliver phase-aligned, ready-to-mix drum stems.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Drummers like Dave Grohl, Chad Smith and Travis Barker inspire me for their groove, power and musicality. I also admire producers who focus on serving the song rather than overproducing.
