David Méndez

Music Producer-Mixing Engineer

David Méndez on SoundBetter

My name is David Méndez, and I’ve dedicated my life to music—constantly investing in my growth to deliver the highest level of service to every artist I work with. I approach each project with focus, respect for the artist’s vision, and a commitment to quality.

With a degree in Music Production, academic studies at Bath Spa University, a Professional Certificate from Berklee Online, and an official Dolby Atmos certificate from Grande Studios Academy through the Dolby Institute Academic Partner program, I bring a solid technical and artistic foundation to every project I take on.
Beyond formal education, I am currently under the mentorship of engineer Hugo Gutiérrez, which allows me to stay closely connected to real-world industry standards, modern workflows, and high-level professional expectations. This ongoing guidance keeps my work grounded, precise, and aligned with today’s production and mixing demands.

My approach is deeply artist-focused. I believe great production starts with understanding the culture, identity, and emotional intent behind each song. Whether I’m producing, mixing, or working in immersive formats, my goal is always to enhance the artist’s vision—not replace it—while delivering a sound that translates across systems and connects with listeners.

I bring seriousness, passion, and attention to detail to every collaboration, treating each project with the same care regardless of scale or genre. I value clear communication, reliability, and long-term creative relationships, and I strive to create an environment where artists feel confident, supported, and inspired throughout the entire process.
