I play tenor, alto, soprano, and baritone saxophone, and double on flute, clarinet, various world flutes, and EWI. I can read written parts, create my own parts, and improvise over all genres. I studied jazz, and regularly perform and record with bands playing Soul, RnB, Jazz, Smooth Jazz, EDM, Latin, Hip-Hop, Rock, Pop, and more.
I have played on many albums and singles and released a record under my own name as well. I perform and teach music full-time in Denver Colorado. I have the ability and means to mix my own track, so that it is ready to be placed in finished songs.
Influences:
A few of my influences are Michael Brecker, Jeff Coffin and Clarence Clemons for pop/rock styled recordings and Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins, and Sonny Stitt for jazz style.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Releasing my 2nd album where I played all the instruments, recorded, composed, and produced it all myself.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am forming a new jazz saxophone ensemble similar to Super Sax.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. Ease of process.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most commonly, I am asked to improvise or play precomposed parts on saxophone.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Which type of saxophone do you want me to play? What are the time markers I will be playing at? Do you have sheet music, chord sheets, or midi files? What kind of articulation do you want? What kind of improvisation do you want? Are there any audio examples that are similar to what you want me to sound like? Do you want the sax to sound exactly like the midi samples or do you want something else?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Have a clear vision for what you want the saxophone to do. Have specifics(i.e. time or measure markers, articulation directions-legato/staccato, which kind of saxophone you would like, what kind of improvisation-sparse and smooth/high and screaming, etc.)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Quality guaranteed.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That I wake up every morning loving what I do.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My sax and 4 reeds!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I began studying saxophone at age ten. I studied privately for many years, completed a M.A. in Music, and now I have been playing and teaching professionally for several years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I pride myself in versatility, however, my style has been described as smooth, rhythmic, soulful, and powerful.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I am happy to work with any artist that is making quality music and is passionate about their project.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Proper microphone placement is critcal for having a balanced sound on saxophone. Many people do this incorrectly by aiming the mic directly into the bell of the instrument.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work primarily with pop, rock, jazz, blues, and soul artists.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I prioritize my tone quality and sound very heavily.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can bring a variety of sounds from a screaming tenor sax solo to a soft soprano sax melody.
