Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Ryan Hewitt once told me, "ears over gears." It doesn't matter to me, but I am all in the box. If analog suits you, go for it, but if digital is your thing, then use that. There is no "better" or "best."
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing music and Re-Recording Mixing
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring an edge, but I can pull back if need be. Usually, I try to make things as big and punchy as possible. However, if an artist wants it tamer, I have no problem doing that.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly mix music, but also have been mixing TV spots for a few years now.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To deliver a final mix that you can live with forever
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Hearing the music before it's released
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be kind and be thorough with feedback
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Fluid Audio FX-80s, Sound Anchor Monitor Stands, Computer/keyboard/trackball/screen, Desk, and ADDA Converter
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Blink 182 because they have been my favorite band since I was a kid.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Cut your breaths from your background vocals. There's no point to have them in there when the lead vocal is the only thing people are listening to.

A: Pop, Rock, Pop/Rock

A: I mix on Fluid Audio FX-80s and run Pro-Tools HD.

I just became a Fluid Audio Artist. Go check them out here! They make some amazing studio monitors at a lower cost that sound like studio monitors that are much much much more expensive. I personally love the FX-80 but go test some out for yourselves and decide!
