Yoshie is a Music Producer, Trombone Player, and Singer based in LA. Given a scholarship and graduated from Berklee College of Music with Contemporary Writing and Productions Diploma, and Kunitachi College of Music with Music Education Degree and have the Music Instructor's License for high school and junior high school.

She has worked for live concerts with Grammy/Latin Grammy-winning/nominated artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Jacob Collier, Joyce Moreno, Milton Nascimento, and Snarky Puppy. She also works as a recording musician. She worked for/with HITACHI, Joyce Moreno, Jacob Collier, George Garzone, John Patitucci, Tsunenori ‘Lee’ Abe, to name a few. She has performed at historical venues such as Boston Symphony Hall, Berklee Performance Center, Massachusetts State House, Harvard Sanders Theatre, MIT Kresge Auditorium, Boston University Agganis Arena, Cotton Club Tokyo and so on.

Although Yoshie's specialty is a-cappella production, her production and performance vary to A-Cappella, Small Band, Big Band, Orchestra, and many styles of music genres such as Jazz, Motown, Latin, African, Pop, EDM, Radio Jingle, and Scoring for Advertisement.

  1. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  2. A: If I could work with Jacob Collier, that would be my dream come true. I have attended to his clinics and had great time singing as backup choir with him in Boston. His love for love is just so beautiful and his knowledge and passion is as unlimited as universe. He's been my inspiration.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: World music, such as latin, Indian, Brazilian, as well as jazz and pops in different types of instrumentation from a-cappella to EDM, orchestra, and so on.

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: Sheet music creation. I believe good looking music would sound good. Also, I'm punctual and responsible.

  7. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  8. A: Accuracy on transcription. Somewhat organic and warm touch on my arrangements with some excitement.

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: - Transcription - Writing with Finale - Import into Logic or ProTools depends on the production - Mix/master with ProTools

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: I'm a big fan of latin music, such as Brazilian, Cuban. Also, as an a-cappella singer myself, I have done a couple of a-cappella production which inspired by Jacob Collier, The Real Group, Vox One, TAKE 6, Accent, and so on.

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: My main career have been arrangement, orchestration, music preparation from transcription. Most of the works are done for live performance. Horn/vocal arrangement is common request too.
