  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Tracking an EP for our own project, A Thing From The South

  3. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  4. A: My personal taste, bust most importantly getting the artist what he's trying to achieve.

  5. Q: What's your typical work process?

  6. A: For mixing: If I have not tracked the song, I speak with the artist to know exactly where do they want the song to go and try to get a rough mix from them if possible. After that...every song is different. Usually begin with the rithm section.

  7. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  8. A: Laptop, Logic Pro X, RME UCX, MD421, Rhode NT5, Sm57, Sm58, Se Electronics, Stratocaster, LP Studio, SG, ENGL.

  10. A: Andy Wallace, Carl Nappa, Warren Huart, Michael Beinhorn, Chris Lord-Alge, Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, Derek Truks, Trent Reznor, John Mayer, Nirvana, Foo fighters, City and Colour, Peter Green, David Gilmour,

  16. A: If the singer not really digging it with headphones, record from the control room with monitors minimising the bleed putting it out of phase.

  18. A: Mainly "acoustic music"...Blues, country, americana, rock..

  20. A: Listening to what the artist wants, and doing my best to get there.

  32. A: How do you want your song to sound like? What do you want the song to tell you? Reference tracks?

  34. A: Look for someone who will make your music sound as it sounds in your head

  35. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  36. A: Macbook pro, Interface, one ribbon mic, one condenser mic, speakers.

  37. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  38. A: I've been playing piano since I was 10. After I began with the guitar as a teenager for around 15 years. Two years ago I went to audio school for music production. Since then I haven't stopped recording, mixing and mastering.
