As a session guitar player based in Nashville, I specialize in rock, blues and country and am mainly known as an ambient/texture guy along the lines of U2, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, etc. My rock/country guitar playing is influenced by tasteful guitarists like Mike Campbell, Keith Richards, and Daniel Lanois. Focusing on texture, tone, parts and vibe, I believe guitar playing should always serve the song.
My process is simple and designed to give you what you need as efficiently as possible. If you know what you want I can easily do it. If you're unsure about what you want then I'm happy to lend my years of professional experience to help you create the best guitar parts for your song. I'm a fan of layering and panning and will send you fully edited and comped finished tracks so all you’ll need to do is plug them into your song. Included is a .txt file called "Session Notes" with my detailed thoughts behind each track. I'm easy to work with and can communicate ideas very clearly with artists about the vision of a song in terms of tone, parts, references, etc. Let's make some music!

A: Crafting songs, being creative and working with others to make music I believe in and love.

A: It's a cliche but I've found that the "less is more" adage is true. Songs matter the most when they are simple and direct.

A: I use an Apollo Twin Duo into Logic Pro X with various condenser/dynamic microphones. All sorts of plugins, etc.

A: In general I'm constantly inspired by the recordings of The Beatles and Radiohead. In terms of guitar players I'm mostly influenced by subtle players like Mike Campbell, Daniel Lanois, David Gilmour and Johnny Marr.
