I am skilled at creating, producing, editing, mixing, and mastering music especially pop, EDM, hip-hop, Hyperpop, etc. I can score movies and video games. I am particularly skilled in sound design and editing, vocal processing and effects, song structure, and lyric writing. I have 13 years of experience in sound production, though if I'm being completely accurate I started composing in Fruity Loops when I was 3. I studied rigorously under infamous digital and electronic instrument builder Bob Bielecki, and electronic music pioneers Richard Teitelbaum and Maria Rosenfeld in Bard College's Experimental Music and The Electronic Arts program.

Garlinghouse took a bunch of photos I had with descriptions and a Spotify playlist. Turned those three things into an AMAZING 5 1/2 minute video with crazy cool AI generated narration at the beginning, lots of awesome cuts, super well mixed sound, integrated subtitles. It was a big hit, I couldn't be happier!

What an amazing experience! Marselle truly went above and beyond to help us with our mix for our performance. She was very professional and the final mix was exactly what we were looking for. Marselle is truly an expert and thought of fun add-ins that brought the mix together perfectly.

CSP did an incredible job mixing and mastering the audio for my video piece. Very easy to communicate with, and took my vision and feedback into account at every step. Both friendly and super professional. Would recommend for visual / moving image artists looking for sound production from someone who gets their vision !

Helped me to take some acoustic tracks and re-work them into an electronic/acoustic hybrid. Not only took them into a totally new space, also mastered them very well so that they had a lot of punch a volume without losing headroom. Very highly recommended!

  1. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  2. A: There is no one way to do it right---there are many good results, and many ways to get there.

  3. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  4. A: I majored in Experimental Music and the Electronic Arts while studying at Bard College, and was lucky to learn from some of the most important names in the early history of experimental electronic music. I spent 4 years DJing and teaching private music production lessons. I fell in love with the Hudson Valley and made it my home. I've spent the past decade honing my skills, collaborating with other artists, and doing freelance work for both musicians and film makers.

  5. Q: How would you describe your style?

  6. A: Unexpected, but exactly what you needed. Intuitive and playful. I combine field recording and found sounds with intricate editing and sound design to manufacture unique soundscapes that stand out in a crowd.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: Complex sound design.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: I use two 8-inch Mackie MR8mk2 monitors and a B&W ASW608 8-inch subwoofer, with 5-inch reference Mackies for mixing. My headphones are beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 32 OHM. My sound runs through a MOTU M4 using balanced TRS cables. Everything is calibrated to studio reference levels. I use a SL88 STUDIO studiologic keyboard with 88 weighted keys. I use the legendary Rode NT1-A 1" Cardioid Condenser Microphone. I also have a vintage Casio keyboard, several guitars and basses, a violin, and many drums and other small instruments. I use a ZOOM H4n for field recording and outdoor audio. My studio is a home studio with soundfoam and carpets for sound treatment, and rockwool insulation with wooden paneling in all corners. I have a small vocal recording booth built into the room. If the project requires, I have access to multiple larger recording studios as well.
