Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: A mix, because they both bring different benefits to the creative process. There's no reason not to use both and take the advantages of them to your advantage.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To give them my best work and to always work hard for the best product.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Making something beautiful and lasting.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are you looking for? What vibe or emotion do you want the track to have? What is the story behind the track? Are there an examples of similar music that might work to show an example of what you're looking for?
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Soul, Rock, Singer-Songwriter, Blues, and Folk.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Nailing a feeling.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Creativity, Knowledge, and Dedication.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Robert Glasper, Quincy Jones,
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most commonly I'll give my clients a part of the track that they can't sufficiently do themselves (the keyboard tracks they're missing, the vocals they crave, the lyrics, melody, and music they need to make the song a piece of art).
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Listen to the material, work on an idea, ask for details on what the client wants specifically, and revise.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My interface is an Apogee Quartet that runs with the latest model of Protools, Logic Pro, or Ableton. I have a fully isolated studio environment, with a Rhode K2 tube-condenser, Royer R121 ribbon microphone, Shure sm58 and sm57 dynamic microphones. I have a JHS Colour Box, A-Designs REDDI, and Countryman Type 10 for putting the microphones or Direct inputing sources.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Know what you want and be open-minded.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: (Assuming there is electricity) My keyboard, my amp, my apogee quartet, my Royer R121, and my A-Designs REDDI.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Soulful and sincere.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Kendrick Lamar, because he is doign great things with merging styles and making unique art.

A: Plan out your process ahead of time.
