Manú Lopez on SoundBetter

Hey! I am Manú Lopez, I'm a professional musician, producer and guitar teacher from Rosario, Argentina. I have studied music since I was little, from classical guitar to acoustic and electric. I work as a touring musician, making studio recordings, collaborations, guest solos and Youtube covers.

I really want to work with you on your project, your song or album. I will do my best to achieve what you expect!
I would say that my strong point is that I am a fairly versatile musician, going from Heavy Metal riffs to melodic leads and clean and pleasant guitars, through Rock, Funk, Punk, Country, Blues, Fusion and Jazz.

I'm looking forward to work with you and helping you with your musical project! So lets get in touch and make some music! If you have any question just let me know. Contact me through the button above to get in touch. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Interview with Manú Lopez

  1. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  2. A: The most common question: ¿How long does it take me to have the work ready? My answer always depends on the project, the duration, the difficulty, etc... but usually it does not take more than 5 business days.

  3. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  4. A: I think that people in general don't really know what work in the music industry is like, so they don't know the effort, years of study and work that goes into it, and what it takes to make a living with music.

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: the most common type of work I do on recordings... I usually work on songs, people show me their projects with ideas or references of what they want. Then I record all the guitars as they tell me, and if I have some freedom to add something... in that case I give feedback to the client to know if the new ideas fit with what was expected.

  7. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  8. A: I am always willing to work with everyone who takes their job seriously and with respect, every job is an opportunity to grow.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: It's what I love to do! The feeling of contributing to musical projects is something unique. Also being able to meet many great people, musicians, producers, composers, the most fun thing about this job is creating music, sharing and learning with other people from all over the world.

  11. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  12. A: In what key is the song, BPM to set the project, Render specifications, and songs references or style instructions to get the vibe. And everything that the client thinks that it's important is welcome! the more information the better!

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: - Always be resolutive and open to be comunicative with partners, muscicians and producers. - Tune your instrument before recording. - Change Strings. - Check gain stages. - Be open to explore new sounds.

  15. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  16. A: I have worked on albums, EPs and Singles with Mica Racciatti and Lord Divine. currently working on an EP of my own project, which I am very excited about!

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

You have to know that I will do my best at the job and provide the material as soon as possible.

  31. Q: What's your typical work process?

  32. A: It depends on the project, but in general I understand the main idea and solve it, so that everything makes sense. I begin to create the project with the correct specifications, according to what is specified I create the tracks that will take me through each instrument. Then sectorize the project by parts to be able to give each sector the focus it requires at that moment. Then start recording.
