Specialized in mixing and mastering multitrack music production, ranging from any genres; blues, rock, hip-hop, pop, electronic, metal, alternative, and singer-songwriter. Attention to details, creativity, colors, uniqueness, and one-of-a-kind production are my key values.

I'm offering mixing and mastering services for local and international artists that are looking to get their music ready to be published.

The process is simple.
First, send the basic information of you and the project to my work email pienix.studio@gmail.com.

Second, I will require you to send me the pre-recorded multi-tracks file that are to be mixed, or stereo tracks for mastering, via dropbox or in person.

From there, we will discuss about your vision for the music and your goal. I am available to discuss in person or via telephone.

My service could include additional overdub recording (vocal, guitar, midi, bass, percussions, etc), if needed, and I am also available as a session guitarist (blues, funk, or rock). New clients will get 25% off of the list price for the first project.

Interview with Juhan Ongbrian

What are you working on at the moment?
My own band music production. I will be producing the single, along with mixing and mastering it.
Analog or digital and why?
Everything of both worlds. Because of time and value.
What's your 'promise' to your clients?
Your music and vision is my main priority
What do you like most about your job?
Helping other artists develop their music to be something that everyone can enjoy and appreciate more.
What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
I only turn the volume up and down.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
Get good recordings of the basic track, especially drums. Get the best quality sound you can for each of the instruments or track. Good performance and recording will help a lot for the mixing engineer.
If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
2 Neumann U87. Apollo Twin Duo, top of the line macbook pro+charger, wind powered generator. Then start making music until I can't survive the island anymore.
What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
I have been mixing and mastering for more than 7 years. I worked mostly with local artists back when I lived in Seattle, and I do also work with international artists, friends from another country that asked my help to finish their music.
Which artist would you like to work with and why?
I really want to work with John Mayer, his vocal tone is delightful and his guitar playing is something that is fun to work with. Plus the songs arrangement of the production are something that is interesting to work with too.
What type of music do you usually work on?
I usually work on funk, rock, blues, electronic, jazz, pop, and singer-songwriter music, but I did some other type of heavier music on the side.
What's your strongest skill?
My critical listening skill and taste for music are my strongest points in the production.
What do you bring to a song?
My goal is to bring a song its full potential and give it more energy and color that wasn't portrayed before the mixing/mastering process
Tell us about your studio setup.
My mixing studio space are acoustically with professional setup and materials, with high ceiling of 10 feet tall. My main studio monitors are Focal CMS 40, with Avantone powered speakers as my mid-range monitors. My main mixing interface/software is Universal Audio Apollo 8, with full plug-ins library, and also 500 series rack collections for outboard gears (Hairball Audio FET/Rack 1176 compressor, Diyre Colors tone modulation, Hairball Audio Lola Preamp)
