Dirt Floor is an old school studio tucked into a state forest with an absolutely stellar reputation for fine Folk, Rock, Americana & Singer/Songwriter recordings. Imagine what it must have felt like recording Neil Young's 'After the Goldrush' or the Band's 'Music From Big Pink' and that might partially help describe the Dirt Floor experience!
Dirt Floor is so much more than just another Connecticut recording studio! Rustic record making at it's finest...
Situated on two acres at the edge of the Cockaponset State Forest in Chester, Connecticut; Dirt Floor is truly one of a kind. The studio is in a 1950's rambler-style house located at the end of a gravel and dirt road. When you first step inside you immediately feel the vibe and the energy that makes Dirt Floor so special. The distinctive exposed beams above you, the wood floors with antique area rugs below you, and a plethora of vintage instruments lining the walls all add to that vibe.
