Analog or digital and why?
Old or modern, analog or digital, they all have their strengths and their place, my work is to use my ears to try to understand what every song needs.
What's your 'promise' to your clients?
I guarantee 100% professional, custom and unique results.
What do you like most about your job?
I like to create music and as a composer, guitarist, producer and mixing engineer I have the chance to be involved in all the aspects of the musical creation.
If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
On a desert island there is no electricity so forget about production, I think would just need my Esteve Manuel Adalid classical and my Elferink custom archtop guitars.
What type of music do you usually work on?
I usually work on some kind of acoustic or almost acoustic sets.
What's your strongest skill?
As a producer, I have the ears for music of a musician and as a guitarist, I have the ears for sound of a producer.
What do you bring to a song?
Its not so much what I bring to the song, but mainly what I hear on each song, I let them lead me to their world and then anything is possible.
Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
I produce and mix songs/albums for acoustic and jazz acts, I work together with the artists and help them find direction, we filter out what is not working and we concentrate on their strengths. My specialty is guitar tracks though, be it atmospheric pads, unique electric guitar leads, acoustic rhyhtm guitar or nylon string Spanish/Mediterranean inspired solos. I aim for the best sound and try to come up with great sounding parts that fit the music.
