Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
My latest work as I spoke of above . I've worked with many very talented people , but Tom Lowe is a very special songwriter and an amazing vocalist. I also played drums on the first project , and will on the 2nd. My role was co-writer/ Drummer/recording engineer/producer.
What are you working on at the moment?
Artist Tom Lowe , an American Idol finalist . I did his 1st cd "Back To Mine" available on Itunes, now preparing to do the 2nd. I'm a co writer with Tom also engineer/ producer, so we are writing and recording basic tracks now.
Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
Analog or digital and why?
Both. I have been in both schools of recording. I have mastered them . What I have learned is the blend of the warmth of analog and the cleanliness of digital is the best path to a punchy great recording.
What's your 'promise' to your clients?
That my job is to get the best sounds to bring out the best performances of the musicians and singers, and get them as a group or individual artist to the end result they imagined and beyond.
What do you like most about your job?
Bringing out the best performance of an artist. Pure joy.

How expensive are your services. I answer , I can work with most budgets.
What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
What questions do you ask prospective clients?
Mostly questions to give me a picture of the end goal vision, of where the Artist wants the project to be . What they hear in their head, and start from there.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
To listen to recent work the provider has done.
If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
My grand Piano, Macpro , My mics and mic pre's, and my DW drum kit.
What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
As a young man Mitchel Delevie was always a musician song writer recording engineer producer. Began working for major record labels, A&M, Warner Bros Records, Motown Records, and has not stopped since.

This studio loves all styles of music recording, Voice recording, and music for TV and Film. It's vey hard to answer this question because there is magic in every project. It's our job to capture lighting in a bottle.

Use great sounding source sounds to begin with. Mic properly .

Mitchel Delevie takes great pride in his Microphone collection , AKG to Neumann and everywhere in between there is the right mic for the application.
