Rockababyrock on SoundBetter

I've independently toured and shared stages with the likes of The Roots, Jurassic 5, The Zac Brown Band, O.A.R, etc. I write/produce pop, hip hop, country, rock and adult contemporary. With 17 years of experience, I specialize in creating beats, melodies, lyrics and an overall vibe.

My name is David "DJ" Lee aka Rockababyrock and i'm a beatboxer, singer, songwriter, producer, and artist manager. I spent 12 years touring in the indie guitar/beatbox band Scratch Track that toured full-time between 2003-2014. We had a "ghost feature" on Trick Daddy's 2005 hit song "Sugar (Gimme Some)" featuring Cee-Lo & Ludacris. Our songs have appeared on CBS's hit show CSI:NY, Sony Playstation’s MLB: the Show, MTV, and various independent films. Even recently had a song sync'd on "The Young and the Restless".

I live in Nashville, TN where I write, produce, engineer and mix on a full-time basis. My main strengths are in vocal performance, beatmaking and production. I work in LogicPro and have skills in mixing, comping and editing. I'm flexible and super easy to work with. I love good music and I love good people. Lets make some music!

I've worked with DJ Lee off and on for 15+ years and it's always a pleasure.

DJ is a constant professional with one of the absolute best attitudes I've ever been around. He has an incredible singing voice and his ability to see the potential of a song before anyone else is a rare talent.

    I can't recommend DJ enough.

I have worked with DJ for for several years and his level of professionalism is top notch. He brings heart and passion to every project whether it be vocals, production, or songwriting. His voice has such a velvety tone and it sounds just as good throughout his entire range. I highly recommend working with him if you want to bring your project to the next level.

Working with DJ is just a real treat. He has great ideas and is quick with editing super basic tracks into really rad song structures. He’s got a great ear for tones and harmonies as well.

DJ brings groove-centric and earthy fire each time. His instincts are great and he is the best person around to work with. His style, his work and his person are one of a kind.
