Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listening and creating.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: A Motown cover for fun. It sounds like the record and it was a blast. Bass, drums, and tambourine.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Drum tracks for a project.

A: Not yet.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, because both do a thing that is unique.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll give my best.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Flexability.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q: Who have you worked with? Who do yo know? A: A lot of people. Some you've heard of, most you never have heard of.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Everyone gives bassists crap and discounts their role, but everyone wants a good bassist and complains when there isn't one around .
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you have tomorrow's winning lottery numbers and will you share them with me please?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Do your thing. I'm here to help.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A solar powered generator, a P.A. system, a bass, set of drums, and a mic.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Record music or be a history teacher. Music won out. 22 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Solid and melodic.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Levon Helm would have been fun..... he grooved.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Play half of what you want to. Let the tune breath. Leave space for others. Is a team sport.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listening and creating.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I play for the tune. I support the melody and do so rhythmically.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Listen, make notes, ask the client what feeling they want conveyed, and conveying said feelings.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Pro Tools HD with Neve and API style preamps. AKG, Shure, Neumann, Modded ribbon mics.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: That would be a list that is way too long to type out. Talking Heads, Herbie Hancock, Roy Huskey Jr. and Sr., Al Jackson Jr., Junior Walker, too many to list really.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Create bass parts, arrange, composed with them, just brainstorm for the benefit of the piece. It is a team sport.
