Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Complete satisfaction.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Understanding the music industry. Knowing the genres i work and knowing what people expect from an artist on that particular genre. When you know that you can explore to achieve something awesome, something different but always keeping in mind what the audience want.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Musicians are artists and as artists their music is precious to them, and it should, but sometimes we as artists become very close minded. I bring a different view on music, how to make it more commercial, or pleasing to a broader audience, without losing the songs essence of course.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I normally listen to what the client has on mind, what he want's to accomplish and brainstorm from there, listen to his tracks or demos if he has them and reach a common point on how we are going to work. After I'm satisfied with a mix I'll send it to the client for review and feedback, if needed I will make the adjustments needed until my client is satisfied.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I basically work with Cubase (V. 8) I've been working with this DAW since Cubase 5 so I know my way around this particular DAW. For recording I use a Presonus 1818VSL interface and KRK Rockit 5 as main monitors with JBL speakers for reference as well as Yamaha Studio Headphones. I run Waves Mercury plugins that's a huge bundle, Ozone 5, EZDrummer etc. Outboard Gear includes DBX 266xs Comprssor/Gate, Behringer Ultragain Pro MIC2200 Etc.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do mixing, editing and mastering mostly. I can also record if needed. I specialize in mixing but of course I have the equipment to record
