Hi, I'm João Caetano. Not only am I the percussionist for the iconic Brit/Funk Acid/Jazz band Incognito, but I'm also obsessed with records and producing beautiful music. If you really want to create something unique and special with a world music flavour, then I know I can help!
I want to help you achieve your sound, your identity and really dive into your music.
Having worked for over 15 years as a professional musician, having been part of Incognito's writing and touring team for 10 years as well as a BA Music degree from the University of Chichester.
I am a true believer that by only understanding the person behind the music can you produce a great record.
I'm super keen in working with people that love WorldMusic, Jazz, Fado, Flamenco and Mediterranean music.
I have studied traditional Rhythms from all over the world and adapted them to a fluent musical vocabulary, that I use in my playing.
It is my passion to create music with others. I aim to provide excellent communication and pay strict attention to detail. And I will do all I can to make sure you get exactly what you want for your project.
