My name is Eran and I'm from Tel Aviv. I am a Producer and music writer. I've been privileged to work with artists Mika Hari, we just signed a label deal with BMG France for Europe.Through out my career I have composed and produced with some of Israel's greatest artists. As a Producer I enjoy sharing my guitar playing and other instruments I play such as Pedal Steel guitar, Ukelele and more. My studio caters some of the finest and most inspiring vintage gear and musical instruments to compliment my digital studio.

    Mika Hary just signed a record deal with BMG France for Europe.
    Eran's co writing, production, including live shows, had a great part in Mika's success.

Interview with Eran Weitz

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: On Hava Alberstien's latest release, I composed all of the songs and co produced it with Oved Efrat. In a way I feel that it's my album, I even sing a duet with Hava who is one of the greatest singers of our time.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am producing and co writing with Mika Hari, a newly signed artist in BMG France. I am composing a score for a documentry series. I am touring with Hava Alberstien, Rona Kenan, Gidi Gov and Mika Hari.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both. We're in the digital age, no going back, but good analog gear can perform magic on a track. I use lots of analog gear in my chain to give tracks the magic they need.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: I am a big fan of first impressions, I try to capture and sustain the magic of first takes the genuine feeling I get from the song I'm working on.

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: Mac Cubase/Protoos based studio. Lots of vintage gear. Microphones: Neumann u47, Neumann km184, Neumann u87. AKG D12, AKG D19, BeyerDynamics 160. Shure sm57s, sm58s, Sennheiser 421, Cascade Fathead and lots more. Preamps: Telefunken V72, API, Neve, Midas, RCA etc.. Guitar amplifiers: 64 Fender Blackface Deluxe. 70s Fender Bassman. 79 Mesa Boogie markIIb head. Fender Princeton 65 reissue.Custom built tweed deluxe. Guitars: 72 Jazzmaster, 69Strat, 70s gibson SG. Martin D28 custom shop, Taylor 410 CE. Martin 12 string. Emmons Pedal steel guitar. Keyboards: Wurlitzer 200a, Fender rhodes 73 Suitcase. Nordlead, etc.

  11. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  12. A: My work varies, with some clients, I compose or co write their music with them. For others I produce or just play guitar/keys.
