Liyah is such an amazing and fast musician. I was very pleased with her work and attention to detail with my project. She really outdid herself with my song and I am happy with what the track I received. So professional and I will definitely work with her again in the future! Liyah is a phenomenal songwriter, singer, producer, and mixing engineer! I was recently blessed with the opportunity to co-write and co-produce a couple of songs with Liyah and was beyond impressed with her ability to produce! She is also extremely professional and does things in a timely manner. I highly recommend working with her! You will not be disappointed. She is incredibly creative and everything she does she does with a high standard of excellence!
Liyah is highly professional in a writing room and is driven to create the best song/track every time. I've had the opportunity to work with her several times and she never fails to impress. Her top-line melodies are always so catchy and her production compares to any hit producer. Highly recommend her services. Also, she is a great person. Very passionate about her work and delivers on time.
I’ve worked in sessions with Liyah multiple times, and every time I am blown away by her voice, musical ideas, and her ability to produce music and comp in a timely manner as well. Anyone would be lucky to work with her.
Interview with Liyah Greenidge
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the fact that I get to be creative. This is truly what I live for.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My laptop, midi keyboard, headphones, a USB microphone, and Bluetooth speakers.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am a producer, singer-songwriter. I have been writing, singing, and producing for 5 years now. I've produced for many different artists and written many songs in different genres.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Major Lazer. I absolutely love their fusion of sounds between the three of them. They really work well together and bring out so many different elements and rhythms that just work.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically when I receive stems I like to learn them. I go through all the different parts that I have and then begin organizing the stems so I can get a grasp of where each section starts and ends. After that, I begin going through the different sections picking out the best parts and then quantized each section. Once all that is done, I begin levelling out the mix then going into the plugins. I spend a lot of time on the timing to make sure I'm hitting those necessary pockets to ensure the song is amplified in all the right areas.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Typically my client is looking for a solid mix and master. My clients love to work with me because I really put the necessary time into their mix and do a phenomenal job with their vocal production. I really enjoy every part of this process and they can tell.
