P.E.A on SoundBetter

Need a songwriter who makes it his job to see his clients satisfied? I will write you a song that could leave you mystified. But, regardless of the fact that a hit song may be improbable, to be very frank, it would be just fine. I'm that songwriter that just might get you that breakout song. Come on then, let's jam!

Aa a songwriter and topliner, I'm very lyrically conscious. I usually stick to lyrics with positive connotations. I'm of the opinion that songs are just another way of communicating with people, and my songs should communicate something sensible to others. I also, sometimes, write in vague analogies which aim to challenge the mind and prompt intellectual reasoning...

My services are around the ranges of (solo) songwriting from the scratch, topline songwriting (which is the addition of lyrics to an already made instrumental, beat, or tune); and co-writing. I'm open to a lot of genres, however, my main and primary genre is pop. I can also write in indie/alternative; folk; pop-rock; country; EDM; hip hop; and whihever one you want! All you need to do is relate it to me!

I'm P.E.A, and I do hope that we do business, and have some fun while doing it! Let's make some songs!

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Interview with P.E.A

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Better Me, my featured track here by the same name, is one of my personally 'solo-written', sung, and produced songs. I produce most of my songs myself.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: I love what I do! It's fun!

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: 1. Do you agree with my deals? 2. What genre(s) do you want to deal in? 3. Why do you want to make this song, what's your motive? Among others

  7. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  8. A: A microphone; my laptop with my DAW installed; a phone with it's internet connection working perfectly; studio headphones; and studio monitors.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I'd say some 2 years now, but, professionally? - 2020

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: My style is simply eclectic. I work in different ways. That's why my second main genre is indie!

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: Coldplay, for their style. Something just endears me to them. There's something about them that just seems to gel with me.

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: The vocals are the key. Make sure your vocals are recorded the best possible way, as it relates to you. Then, I'd say, 'Don't give up. Keep pushing!'

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: I bring that honesty and 'realness'. My songs may not always be talking about me, yet I still do my best to add passion and genuineness into it. I also give free room to my imaginations too. I guess, that's what I bring to the table!

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: My typical work process is: for regular songs, I Ilisten and think for inspiration. Once I get an idea, I pick up my phone and record it, even though it's just me humming the tune. After that, I 'lyricize' the 'tune'. Then, I do reviews over reviews. That's all. For topline songs, I simply write fitting lyrics to the beat/tune.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: I'd say virtually any musician can inspire me. However, I'm more inclined to getting inspired by musicians who sing passionately and honestly, and who write positive and upbeat songs. I also subscribe to exceptions, though, as Coldplay are a major influence to my music and are known to be characteristically solemn in most of their songs. Everyone and anyone can be an influence, we just need to emulate the right things...

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: The most common work type I do for my clients is toplining. The toplining of songs requires that I write lyrics to an already made beat or tune. It is one that I've noticed they prefer because of their choice and preference of singing in a certain way. For instance, a client can ask me to write a song for him/her on a Kendrick Lamar type beat. That explains that, I guess?

  25. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  26. A: Faithfulness and value for money.

  27. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  28. A: Question: Can you do this song(s)? Answer: Yes. If it's in my specialty, I'll do it. e.t.c

  29. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  30. A: That I'm a dupe and scam. This one's common. It is seen that way with reference to most indie businesses.

  31. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  32. A: Please, be serious with business and don't push me around. Thank you.

  33. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  34. A: A number of songs for some clients.

  35. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  36. A: Mainly pop - nearly everything pop.

  37. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  38. A: My strongest skill is my will. My will gets me going when the going gets tough. My will propels me to greater heights!
