  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: The song Difficult with Strategee, I did audio editing and mastering, tricky issues to solve due to the quality of the audio provided. Client referred to the work as 'genius' which was very flattering (and probably exaggerated)

  4. A: Songs and audio that needs to be fixed

  6. A: Yes, Boris Markarian from New World Audio. Great recording studio, great experience.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I can do both. I work on the digital domain because of cost, but no issues in working with analogue gear

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: That I will work to make them happy with the result

  12. A: Working with music is my passion. It doesn't feel like a job.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Normally they will ask to expedite, and that can be arranged if I move things around

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That current tools fix a poor arrangement or a poor recording

  18. A: What are their goals for the project - where it will be streamed or distributed, what references they have. Expectations in advance.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Make sure you have clear objectives so I can be as efficient as possible

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: MacBook Pro, Universal Audio Apollo, AKG K-702 headphones, Rupert Neve DI and my Ibanez RG Guitar.

  24. A: I've done this while working in product development (audio and video products). For the most part it's been a side hustle, that I recently decided to embrace in full

  28. A: Toto, Dream Theater, Rush. Great songwriting, amazing production values.

  30. A: Get the recording and editing done properly. Not everything can be fixed later.

  32. A: Rock, World, Metal, Hip-Hop

  36. A: Over 20 years of technical expertise in audio, and over 40 as a fan of good music. Serve the song with no egos, let the artist's soul shine through the music.

  38. A: Setting objectives with the client Preparing the audio for the mixing or mastering, as clean, clear and prepared as possible Static Mix Dynamic Mix and enhancements Master

  40. A: In the box based on Universal Audio plugins, Ozone 9 and other plugins as needed. Monitoring with acoustic treatment, references and multiple speakers and headphones. Izotope RX8 Advanced for Editing.

  42. A: 70s and 80s rock and production, think classic rock and classic metal

  44. A: Resolving issues in editing (noise, poor recording, takes that are not ready to go), mixing and mastering. Fixing songs that have already been mastered.

I can normally do the job in around 3 days, with samples provided for feedback as early as possible. Number of revisions to be agreed, I normally don't mind if it's within reason.
