I'm a Music Producer, Singer/Songwriter & Mixing Engineer from Accra west Africa, who brings compelling melodies harmonies and rhythm to your songs. I have worked in music for the 20 years and I am currently based in Ghana. I have worked with artists such as Amaarae & wande coal and Superjazzclub.

“I see myself as an anomaly in my generation,” says Øbed. The artist and producer from Ghana, West Africa charting his musical path with a strong introverted passion and uniqueness.

 “I have a super clear vision for myself, both as an artiste and producer. I’m patiently on a journey of discovering and curating my sound with every record, like the greats have done, so I crack my maximum potential."

He blends elements of these sounds to create phenomenal products appealing to cross cultures.

As movie soundtracks, art, painting and music go hand in hand. I've had the opportunity to be in studios with Mayra Andradae, M.anifest, Simi & Brymo. I take my art very seriously and I'm happy to work with you.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I recently worked on a project for a Ghanaian collective called 'Superjazzclub' off which I am apart of. I'm happy to have brought my ideas to life and the reception has been amazing. I was a singer/songwriter and the executive producer on the EP, check it out when you get the chance, it is called 'For All The Good Times'

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: My next EP, hope you like it.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Currently I'm digital because its affordable and does the job equally well but I will graduate to analog gear in the nearer future because of the peculiar warmth in the analog world.

  10. A: To deliver top notch products and services.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I'm very eclectic and I love the way I use space in a song.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: They commonly ask if whatever vision they see is feasible and my answer is yes.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: One of the biggest misconception is that you cannot be a jack of all trays but I beg to differ I'm able to cover a lot of genres.

  18. A: I try as much as I can to make my clients give me a vivid description of how they want their music to sound and feel like.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Try me and I promise to make it worthwhile

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: My MacBook, my akai mpk mini, my focusrite soundcard, my focusrite microphone and my shaker.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've been producing since 2016 but I've played the piano since I was about the age of 8 years and I'm 28years now so I can say I've been doing this for the most part of my life.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: I will describe my style as chill and alternative.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Andre 3000 because he was/is the most diverse and eclectic artist I've ever heard.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Less quantise more feel.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Alternative, Chill, Afrobeat, RnB and Hiphop.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Producing, playing the piano, mixing and mastering.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring a compelling chord structure, melody and infectious rhythm and groove to songs.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I typically start my day off with a cup of coffee and watch a couple visuals that help me kick off musical ideas,

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio setup is a great space that I curated for myself and I feel comfortable and inspired to create anytime I'm in here. I have a fender Stratocaster electric guitar, korg triton extreme, my MacBook Pro and Presonus 5''that I use.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I'm inspired by Kanye West, Pharrell, Rick Rubin,Jack Antonoff,Tyler The Creator, Andre 3000, Kirk Franklin and Anderson Paak. Also when it comes to mixing I'm inspired by Neal Pogue, MixedbyAli, and Russell Elevado.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I bring value to my clients project by meeting their needs whether it is producing a song or mixing and mastering the song.
