Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Aston Spirit Microphone, Aston Stainless Steel Pop Filter, Rockville Isolation Shield, Akai MPK Mini, JBL Studio Monitors, and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface. Often times, I record with a blanket over my head to pad the sound more (you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes)!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm currently working on my video series, #DailyProgression. I work on verses and songs every day and post a video of me rapping them live when I'm finished! The goal is to showcase my evolution as an artist.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Jon Bellion, Childish Gambino, Kanye West, B.o.B, The Beatles, Lil Wayne, Mac Miller
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Write and record a full song for a producer or other artist, assist with songwriting and lyric-writing, write a feature verse or hook, and help boost song development and conceptuality.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring authenticity to a song. I also do not use any vulgar or explicit language in any of my lyrics. So even if I'm touching on topics that may be serious or involve questionable situations, I do so in a clean form.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Inspiration comes to me in all forms and fashions. My typical work process is select a theme or over-arching concept for a song and begin working on the lyrics. I'll also reach out to some friends of mine in the industry for production and instrumentals. Once I finalize the lyrics, I'll begin recording. I usually do not begin recording until I at least have 1 full rough draft of all the lyrics (hooks, verses, bridge, etc.).
