What do you like most about your job?
Listening to the final project!
Which artist would you like to work with and why?
Artists that recognize what sounds good! Because they will end up having a pretty good final project.
Can you share one music production tip?
You shouldn't do the mixing after the production was done, I believe you should consider mixing the track from the moment you open your DAW!
What type of music do you usually work on?
What's your strongest skill?
I think mixing drums.
What do you bring to a song?
The wideness, punchiness, smoothness and the warmth!
What's your typical work process?
Listening to the reference song is the first thing I do when I want to mix or master a project because I want to get the job done they way the client gets satisfied. I start my mixing with the most important element for the client, for instance if it's the lead vocal I'll start working on it and then adjust the others due to the main one. I don't just put the plugins on the audio tracks, I listen carefully and if I found a reason to use a specific plugin, then I choose a good one and use it. I keep having short breaks during the mix to stay fresh and able to recognize the sounds. After I'm done mixing or mastering a project I try to listen to it with different devices and sound systems, I go as far as listening to the final project in my car!
