Session Drummer - Producer

CGBTS on SoundBetter

CGBTS is a Montreal-based Music Producer, who've worked alongside many established artists from Quebec. His music holds its strength from a marriage between organic and electronic sounds.

During his musical journey, Charles builds up a solid live experience and learns a lot on music composition, arrangement, recording and production, working with a host of artists including Alexe, Sara Dufour, Julien Sagot, Dany Placard, Nova Rose, Zoo Baby, as well as with many jazz ensembles and various side projects. He also perfects his skills as a francophone composer, participating in different writing camps in collaboration with the Songwriters Association of Canada, Musicor et BMG France.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Montreal (jazz interpretation alongside Paul Brochu) and a diploma of college studies from the Conservatoire de musique de Saguenay in classical percussions, Charles Guay is a versatile musician mastering different musical styles and instruments. Incidentally, he has studied cello for more than ten years with David Ellis.
