Experienced songwriter in Pop, R&B & Rock. My expertise lies in writing lyrics, melodies & song structure. My experience has taught me to always listen to clients' ideas for the song, and incorporate their ideas into the song to tell the story in the most beautiful way possible, and that's how to leave the client satisfied.
I'm highly experienced in melody writing, lyric writing and song structure.
Moreover, I have considerable levels of experience as a producer, but from the perspective of a songwriter (in terms of what beat modifications to make in order to better convey the emotions).
I have written hundreds and hundreds of released songs for myself and other singers in pop, r&b, rock & hiphop.
I know I bring a lot to the table, but I am always openminded and able to write music from the intended singer's perspective.
I graduated from the University of Toronto Music faculty. However, I strongly believe that experience is truly the best teacher and I have been writing music for over 5 years; written hundreds and hundreds of songs for myself and for other singers.

Interview with Nonso Anene
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on my album right now so I am very much in the creative zone, you could say.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog, because so much detail is overlooked with discrete digital.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: A song that they will fall in love with, and others are sure to as well.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Connecting with people and watching their amazing reactions after delivering a song to them.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it is all about the emotions and feels. Songwriting is very much that, but the boring part - song structure and arrangement, is just as important.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you already have an idea of what you want or would you prefer for me to take full control?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Ensure to hire someone who is empathetic, and has the ability to grasp the emotions you want to convey in the song. But will still enhance your ideas for the song because they are the songwriting professional at the end of the day.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am a music artist already, but I decided to write songs on Sounbetter for some extra cash to be honest, and to learn too write songs for other people from other people's perspectives. I've been professionally writing songs for about 4 years now.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Dark, honest, emotional, real. I can definitely write other styles as well, but I really enjoy writing these.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The Weeknd. Love the way his mind works LMAO. Plus, he combines the production with the songwriting excellently.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Music production goes hand-in-hand with songwriting.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B, Pop, Rock, Indie pop, hip-hop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Top-line melody and lyric writing
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring unique melodies that listeners are sure to love, then I add lyrics that tell the intended story in the most beautiful way possible. I am also experienced with song structure, so I can also determine what song structure will best help convey the emotion the client and I want to share.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The Weeknd, Drake, Bryson Tiller, Usher, Beyonce, Rihanna, Max Martin, Ariana Grande.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of my work involves receiving an instrumental from a client and then writing the melodies and lyrics to the instrumental they provide. I also structure the songs.
