Gabriel Isaac on SoundBetter

Hello! My name is Gabriel, I am a 4th gen singer/songwriter with connections to Nashville, Austin, and Dallas. I specialize in writing/producing from simple pop/hip-hop ballads to complex folk and indie and everything in between! I am so down to help anyone I can in the music community create something they are proud of!

Songwriting (lyrics)
-I can write lyrics to a structured song based on your desired subject, vision, and energy.
-I can provide elocution services to lyrics already written, such as making certain lines smoother and more grammatical, as well as making certain words hit harder verbally, emotionally, and rhythmically.
-I can be a second mind in the song-writing process, helping you come up with the best lyrics possible over phone call/facetime/zoom.

Songwriting (melody)
-I can create a top line vocal melody that is comfortable for your voice and range, and that matches and flows with the track bringing the listener back for more.
-I can provide melody advice based on a pre-recorded vocal track, ensuring your vocals are at peak performance and listenability all the way through.

Songwriting (production)
-I would love to create an instrumental track for you based on your vision and what you’re looking for, specifically in the rap or pop genres. While I am not necessarily a mixing engineer, I can also put instruments where they go in the mix and prep your track for the perfect master!

Music is everything to me and I'd love to help anyone who feels the same make something that they're proud of! Prices are negotiable so feel free to send me a proposal!

Look forward to hearing from you! :)

-Gabriel

Interview with Gabriel Isaac

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: I have been songwriting my whole life, and producing for about 6 years.

  3. Q: How would you describe your style?

  4. A: I am always open to new styles and sounds. I put an emphasis on putting myself out there to experience new styles. I would say though that my lyrical style is very talky and descriptive, and my production style is very unique in that I try to bring the one of a kind character out of every track I make.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: I try and keep my options open and improve on every form of music possible! I started out with lo-fi, moved to indie-pop, and recently I've been broadening my horizons even more, working on all kinds of folk, all kinds of rap, etc.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: Definitely my vision for a track, I can hear a progression or a sample and know exactly what I want to do for that track.

  9. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  10. A: I draw inspiration from so many artists there's no way I'd be able to name them all, Phil Collins, Mike Dean, Metro Boomin, the 1975, just to name a few!

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Don't get too caught up on trying to perfect things as you go, whether it be a vocal line, a progression, or a lead line. Just force yourself to get something down and continue. Sometimes you can get so focused on making things just right immediately that you can disrupt your workflow and lose motivation. If you have to, take 20 minutes away from your workstation, take a breath, and come back with a fresh productive mind.

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: I feel like I bring an uncommon vernacular to most songs that I've written. Just the way I write is very wordy and almost like I'm talking to someone or myself. It is unique for sure but I think it's a good way to tell a story and add an element of personability for whoever is listening.

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: I usually start with a chord progression + a groove and write to that, but on occasion if I have written a song out of inspiration that I know is special I'll curate a progression to flow with those lyrics specifically. But 90% of the time its Progression--groove--bass-lead--vocals--other sounds--mixing/master and tadaaaaa.
