Thanks or visiting my Soundbetter page! • Producers Perspective •

I recently appeared on Try PH, an internet-based media program that aims to provide updates on travel and technology, during one of their segments, Tech to Try, where I was presented with the opportunity to promote my craft and have an in-depth discussion about the equipment I use in music production.

My main goal now is to produce, collaborate and make an album that contains self-composed songs of different genres. I'm offering to polish or master your song as well. But it's better to submit all of your WAV stem files to get the most out of your tracks!

You can check my music production on my Spotify account at "DenivMasadaMusic". And I'm currently working on my tutorial videos for my Youtube account, discussing music production in a simple way possible.

Interview with • DMM Records •

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: I'm not making any promises to them. The only thing that I can assure is good quality music, satisfaction for the possible results, and I always listen to their ideas. Specially if we are working on their original songs.

  3. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  4. A: Our top track on Spotify "Kalawakan" (Universe) Well, it's a cover song actually but we made the arrangement more interesting. We combine different genres in one song and the people love it. And now, that song is on it's way to a million plays. And my role on that song project is the idea of combining different elements in one song. And that is what they love about.

  5. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  6. A: I'm working for our Synergy Album Vol. II

  7. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  8. A: No. I just got here.

  9. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  10. A: Digital. Why? its more cheaper, less time to process, mix and record.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: It really unleashes my creativity of my craft and learning with the people I work with.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: "i'm just wasting my time" "you can't earn serious money on music"

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: Are you totally committed at working at this project? Are you willing to retake your vocal recording a thousand times? If you can't go into my place, are you willing to invest for a few gear to make this project work?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Direct message, consistency, updates, committed, valid reasons.

  19. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  20. A: Every track has it's own potential. But it could be worst if you are doing it wrong in your RECORDING process. Yes, you have to do it right while your still on recording session. Always check your meter. It's not gonna be hard for you and for the mixing and mastering engineer to finalize your song. Always reserve space for a mastering session.

  21. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  22. A: I think for me, my strongest skill is editing and compressing vocals without even noticing (depends on genre that I'am producing). And all the music that I've been working is played by me. I'm not into calling over some session players coz I can do all the tracks needed for the song.

  23. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  24. A: Dave Pensado, Warren Huart (Produce Like A Pro) Michael Romanowski, ZEDD, Adam Young (Owl City), Jonathan Wyner (Izotope), The Click Five, The Script, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, A Rocket to the Moon, The Maine, Paramore, The Ready Set, Cute Is What We Aim For, LANY, Parachute.

  25. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  26. A: Well, because we do a lot of covers, I'm putting a different kind of flavor or spice to it. Maybe adding some additional elements like Synths, percussion and a lot more.

  27. Q: What's your typical work process?

  28. A: My typical work process is recording every instrument in FL Studio, exporting my WAV stems and migrating it to Adobe Audition for final mixing, recording vocal tracks and getting it ready for mastering. It's not much of a complexity but it works really well for me.

  29. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  30. A: I've been doing this for about 10 years now. And I'm really pumped for 60 thousand listeners monthly on my Spotify account.

  31. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  32. A: Headphones, Laptop, Interface, Mic, Speakers

  33. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  34. A: Well, it's to much to mention, there's a of lot artist that I want to work with. But I'm not looking for the most talented in the world. I really love to work with an artist that is really committed at the process and workflow of the project.

  35. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  36. A: Filipino-Alternative kind of music but with a touch of foreign artist bands to it. Specially on how they mix and master their tracks.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: I''m just having a simple room studio with a couple of gears. KRK Speakers Mackie, Audio Technica, Yamaha, Novation, Harman, Lexicon, Beyerdynamic Products

  39. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  40. A: We do a lot of cover songs and for that project, it's "artist choice". Meaning, they are going to choose a song and they are going to decide if we'll going to change genre, arrangement, or key of the song. But I do other artist's original song.
