N-TONE on SoundBetter

I'm specialized in producing and mixing contemporary pop music. If your looking for a modern, big and crispy sound, I'm your man! I've worked in studios such as Abbey Road, Metropolis and Spotify Secret Genius, with international artists landed on major Spotify playlists. Through the years I perfectioned my workflow to best suite remote sessions

My music career began at the age of 3, when I fell in love with the drums.

Growing up, I first learned to play keyboard and guitar, then eventually grew into drums as a primary instrument, drumming for multiple bands in my hometown in southern Italy. From the age of 16 onwards, I began experimenting with sound design and music production.

In 2017 I was selected for the Abbey Road Institute’s Music Production and Sound Engineering diploma program in London, where I graduated with distinction.

The concept of taking an idea from scratch (be it a vocal melody, a chord progression, or hook) and turning it into a full production has always inspired me, and it was in this program that I began collaborating with various international artists with hundred of thousands of streams on Spotify and also played on national radios (MATT TAYLOR, Hawke, Rojaz) , other songwriters, producers, and bands.
This brought me to sessions in some of the most important studios in the world such as Abbey Road and Metropolis Studios.

Currently, I work with artists and songwriters from many different countries - both in presence and remotely - as a producer and mixing engineer, and produce alongside a regular co-write.

I will help you make your song radio ready, by working with you on the production and mixing, until we're both happy with the results.

Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

I had the pleasure to work with Antonio several times. I already knew he was really talented from an artistic point of view, since I had seen his previous works (not only he plays several instruments, he's also highly creative as a producer and writer), but making music with him was extremely educational - and also fun! Antonio is very patient in the studio, he respects every idea, but he also gives numerous hints and advices. I'm lucky to have the opportunity to work with him.

N-TONE is my main producer, co-writer, and mixing engineer. I've been writing and working with him since 2017 between many London recording studios (Spotify Secret Genius, Metropolis Studios, SARM Music Village, Abbey Road Institute, Dean St. Studios), as well as his home studio in Italy. N-TONE has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to producing pop music, specifically tracks with 80s vibes, synths, and great bass lines. I always turn to him for toplining advice as well, and trust him to mix my own songs, only ever needing a couple of revisions. 100% recommend!

Interview with N-TONE

  1. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  2. A: I would love to work with Charlie Puth and Bruno Mars, because they're both great musicians, songwriters and producers. I'm a fan not only of their songs, but also of their productions.

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: I'll share three. Saturation. Saturation. Saturation. It is the key to analog sounding mixes, even when working fully in the box.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: I usually work on pop music, especially with groovy drums or baselines.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: For sure my eclectic taste, allowing me to vary across different genres, but also blend together many different influences.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: I put all my skills (production, mixing, instrument playing) on the artist's service. When working on a song my objective is to find all of its strengths and improve them, while also fixing its flaws either sonically, structurally or musically.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: I typically start by discussing the idea with the client, listening to his/her vision and proposing what I think the song would need. Then I move onto the production/mix and, usually (but not always, since sometimes I work hand in hand with the client) once I think the production/mix is ready, I get back to the client to ask him for feedback or changes he/she might want me to do.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: I grew up listening to a lot of different genres, this is also why my productions are quite eclectic. If I only have to make a few names, though, I would say Max Martin, Charlie Puth, Bruno Mars and Stevie Wonder.

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: I most commonly produce and/or mix songs for solo artists. Whether starting off a voice note or an almost finished project, my role is to make the artist's vision come true and obtain a radio ready pop song.
