From the moment I began collaborating with Mtec Academy, I felt like Yiannis completely embraced the vision of my project! He goes to great lengths to make sure his clients are 100% satisfied, and will stop at nothing to reach this goal. His expertise and God-given gifts serve him well, and contribute to making him a brilliant producer. I greatly appreciated his excellent communication skills, friendly demeanor, and positive attitude as we teamed up on our collaboration. I'm beyond pleased with the outcome, and have no doubt that I've gained a trusted producer & lifelong friend!
I've been working with Yiannis over the past couple of months on my debut EP. It's taken me a long time to find a producer I could trust and who's ability even comes close to that of Y!! Such an enjoyable and fun experience and I've definitely made a friend as well as a valuable producer. Highly recommend Mtec Academy!
I've been working with Yiannis since lockdown in Spain started. I cannot think of a better profesional to guide you and make real your song. I feel very fortunate for having him reaching me and giving Life to my song. I personally can say that he is very talented and patience, hard worker and understand every sugestión you have. Just the BEST Producers you can have right now.
I have been working with Yiannis from Mtec Academy for almost a year. He is experienced, hardworking and always listening to my artistic requests. As a fellow violinist there is mutual understanding of how things should sound and I have been very pleased with his production on my debut classical album. We are continuing our collaboration for further projects. I highly recommend!
I’ve been working with Mtec Academy for about 7 months now. Since working with Yiannis, we’ve created 7 singles together (4 of which are on Spotify, iTunes, etc) and the others will be releasing soon. I completely trust Mtec to deliver a final product I can feel proud to show my friends, family, and fans. He’s extremely knowledgeable and talented, with an ear to bring out the BEST in your project. He’s easy to work with, reliable, and professional. I would absolutely recommend Mtec Academy to anyone interested in a quality music collaboration experience.
Great producer who will dedicate time and though to work with you to find a sound and style that suits your work. Would definitely reccomend!
Very amazing instrumentalist and producer. He helps you become the musician you always wanted to be. I was very happy with my work with him and how our project turned out. I recommend him to anyone who wishes to make a great song or EP. You won't be disappointed.
Interview with Mtec Academy
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Every project is special, unique and I treat each one differently from the previous because I work with different people who have different requirements, desires and passions.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Various short and long-term projects in a variety of genres and with different clients.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Exactly! The debate continues.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I don't make promises because these are easy to make but much more difficult to keep. 'Commitment' is a more suitable word.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That every day is different.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Everybody has their misconceptions about those who work in the creative industries. I don't worry about what others think; I only worry about what I think.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What would you like to achieve today, next week, next month, in twelve months with your music?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Let's have a conversation.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My mp3 player (as long as that desert island has wifi!).
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am a classically trained violinist, music and music production tutor who has been involved in music since the age of seven.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I don't have style.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with artists who are enthused and full of energy, drive and humility in what they do, and who can come together, work together and listen together.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: You never stop learning.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: This will vary according to the client.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring an understanding that a song can only exist through the people involved, hence I bring a people-centred approach.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: This will vary according to project, client and timeframe and therefore it's important to create a collaboration that meets the needs of all involved.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have two setups: one for mobile, on-the-road work and 'live' projects, and a second for the bulk of the production including recording, overdubbing and mixing.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm always learning and always listening. I learn from my peers, great musicians and technicians from the past and from the clients with whom I work. Inspiration comes in different forms as does learning, both can't be taken away from you.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: What is so exciting is that not every project or every client is the same, that's why there is such a buzz when approaching something new and fresh and seeing it through from an initial idea or concept to final end-product.
