Interview with Your Best Mix Now
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Your mix will first be gain-staged; balancing the volumes of all of the tracks in relation to each other. Then tracks will be panned appropriately to bring width to the mix in a stereo setting. Processing tools like equalization, compression, reverb and delay will then be added to bring further clarity, definition, width and naturalness to your mix. Finally some finishing touches like volume or pan automation (adjusting settings throughout the mix) may be utilized to make sure your track is engaging from start to finish.

A: Your Best Mix Now specializes primarily in acoustic-oriented music - country, singer-songwriter, etc. That being said, we are willing to mix recordings of different genres.
