I specialize in screen scoring (i.e. composing music for film, TV, video games). Holding two music degrees from the University of Southern California (USC), I have experience writing for musical ensembles of varying sizes
(everything from trumpet quartet, jazz combo and big band, pop horn section, chamber groups and full orchestra).
Additionally, I am a professional trumpet player (capable of playing and recording any genre) and I create
high-level professional orchestral mock-ups (notable credits: "Hank The Cow Dog" Podcast series on Apple streaming ;and "Woman" by the artist Lani Renaldo).

Biography:

Born in Las Vegas, NV and based in Los Angeles, CA, Josh Ginsburg is a multifaceted composer and trumpet player. While pursuing his original voice as a hybrid musician, Josh draws influence from both his background as an orchestral composer and as a Jazz musician. He takes inspiration from the constantly evolving Jazz tradition in addition to the widespread screen scoring genre. Some of his largest influences include: (Film) John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Alan Silvestri; (Jazz) Jim McNeely, Chris Potter, Bob Mintzer. He views all aspects of sound and music as different elements that can be explored and incorporated as a performing musician and composer.
