    I have had several mixes done by Jean-Carlos and I’m always happy with them. He really listens to what I’m going for and delivers fast and great sounding mixes. I think because he’s a vocalist he knows how to make my voice shine through.

  2. A: I love the mixing work of Manny Marroquin, Serban Ghenea, and Dave Pensado.

  4. A: Years of expertise both technical and hands-on real world.

  6. A: Pop

  7. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  8. A: I would like to work with Coldplay. I like the fact that they go for a different sound from album to album.

  9. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  10. A: My Yamaha HS-10 monitors/Subwoofer. Laptop. Apogee Duet Mac Pro. Microphone.

  11. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  12. A: Make sure you're happy with the product. Don't settle.

  13. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  14. A: What would you like to improve about your song or mix? This will allow me to understand what goals you have in mind and make sure I meet them.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: With Mastering the biggest misconception is that it's a cure-all. A bad mix needs to be fixed from the ground up.

  18. A: Listening and working on new material!

  20. A: Professionalism and satisfaction.

  22. A: Depends on whats needed but I specialize at making digital compete with the analog sound.

  24. A: I mostly work on producing, mixing and mastering songs and projects for clients.

  26. A: My set up includes a set of Yamaha H5 monitors along with matching sub, an iMac Pro, Scarlet 2i2, Maschine Mikro mk2, and several guitars both electric and acoustic.

  27. Q: What's your typical work process?

  28. A: For production I like to typically establish chord structure and melodic elements before moving to drums but sometimes this happens in reverse.

  30. A: My ears and know-how of how to execute what the client is looking to accomplish.

  32. A: Be yourself!

  34. A: Passionate. I like to let the music flow and follow the vibe of whatever is being felt at the time.
