Robin Chris on SoundBetter

I'm providing high quality guitar productions in the style you want.

I'm a guitarist from Germany and I play guitar since I discovered my hands. I’ve got my roots in Blues- and Funkmusic and played numerous gigs all around.

To be honest with you, I'm probably the WRONG PERSON for a JAZZ or METAL Track. (If you still want me to, I'll try though and give my best ;) )
But apart from that I can offer a big variation of sounds and styles. Just let me know what you need. A pop guitar? Check! Stevie Ray Vaughan? Cheeeck! Smooth Rn’B vibes? For sure!
Funky-spunky-wahwah-guitar? Check!

E-GUITARS to choose from:
- Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop
- Fender Telecaster Custom Shop
- Gibson Les Paul
- Gibson 335

TERMS
- 125$ per Song
- 2 FREE revisions (after that 20$ each new rev.)

HOW IT WORKS
If you’re working on a song and you need a guitar, hit the contact button and tell me about your ideas.
As soon as I know about references and sound, I’ll start and send you a first rough demo.
When you tell me I'm on the right way, I’ll finish the song.
If you want me to, I’ll send you a funtake on top of that for free.
You'll have 2 free revisions, in case you prefer some changes.

NOTE: If you want me to play certain licks or phrases that are fast or difficult, it will take more time to deliver and it costs a bit more.

Can't wait to hear from you :) Hit the ‚contact‘ button and let’s get goooo!

Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

Interview with Robin Chris

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: Don't think too much, trust your feelings.

  3. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  4. A: I try to bring an uplift but don't get too much in the listeners focus if not wanted so. I always keep in mind that the final song has to be good and balanced and that the guitar is only one part of many.

  5. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  6. A: I'm working a lot with digital amp-imitation softwares that give me the opportunity to always find the right sound. Concerning guitars I have a Fender Stratocaster, Fender Telecaster, Gibson Les Paul, a Gibson 335 and a few other no-name guitars.

  7. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  8. A: Trent Williams plays an amazing Harmonica. Holly Tourton can deliver clean and soulful vocals.

  9. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  10. A: When I tell people I record with an amp-imitation software, they are always like "naah man that won't sound like a real amp" until they hear it.

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: I always try to adapt my playing-style to the sound and the genre of the song.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: I think it would be amazing to work with Buddy Guy. He's an amazing guitarist and seems to be a very nice person too :).

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: I ask them about their vision, their ideas, and if they have any references.

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Make sure you have a clear idea of what you want. Look for references in terms of the playing-style and sound.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: A guitar, sunglasses, and three bottles of scotch

  21. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  22. A: Solos, licks and melodies for sure.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: The client tells me about the vision he/she has and what's needed. Ill then send over a small demo and if that's on the right way I'll setup the rest.

  25. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  26. A: Stevie Ray Vaughan for sure. The way he played was just amazing...
