Dinky on SoundBetter

I studied piano/ performing arts since childhood. At 19 I produced my first album and signed to Kompakt records in Germany. I have dozens of singles and 6 albums in labels like Visionquest, OstgutTon, Kompakt, Traum, Carpark, Crosstown Rebels,Running Back Top 10 albums of the year in Resident Advisor, Pitchfork, Sound and Recording..

I specialise in music and vocal production, clean up, processing, timing, vocal placement...
I am also a vocalist and member of 100+people Gospel chorus in Barcelona
I studied guitar, piano, classical and jazz vocal technique and music theory/harmony.
I believe only a small timing or pitch issue with your vocal or track can ruin your song and make it sound unprofessional and not in the pocket.I am a perfectionist when it comes to rhythm, pitch and vocal production but I also like crazy and creative vocal processing which I often apply in my own music.
I use Melodyne, TC helicon, various effects like Eventide, sound toys , max for live..
If you need me to produce your music, spice your vocals with creative effects , clean up your vocal , hand compress it with volume control (my fav technique ), record top lines , lyrics, phrases, voices for gaming or others I can help .
I am also a songwriter and music producer with several albums and singles.
I released my first indie-pop album in Carpark records in 2001, I had a massive Ibiza hit in Cocoon Records in 2004 and my electronic album "Anemik " was in the top 10 albums of the years in RA in 2010.
I also offer various services related to music production, songwriting ,top lines..

Our first session singer job completed:
Dinky exceeded my expectations! She provided great interpretation to my song providing both clean and processed samples - her music producer ear comes to great advantage here.
    I couldn't recommend her enough!

Dinky is an outstanding professional. She has given me invaluable feedback over my own productions and how to make the most out of them. I am looking forwards to working with her further; both as a mixing engineer and superb vocal work. Highly recommended!

A: Just finished co-producing a very talented man from Puerto Rico , we are planning to do an EP .I also hepled Gerd Janson (Running back ) to tune and fix some accapella with some pitch issues on a great remix he has done. A: I use Pro Tools for vocal work and detailed editing, Melodyne if I need to tune, (not keen on tuning heavily) Ableton and Max for live for creativity, for recording I use soft mics for hard voices and hard mics for soft voices, it works a charm ! I have several plug ins to process vocals, vocoders ,harmonisers, autotune effect ect . I have guitars, basses, pedals and some synths and drums, I am changing gear constantly I do not think the gear is the most important thing but your ears, your ideas and a really well tuned room ah and good speakers.

  29. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  30. A: Edgyness, originality a strong melody and good rhythm

  31. Q: What's your typical work process?

  39. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  40. A: I need them to be extremely clear on what they want and need so I ask them that .
