West End trumpet player

Hi, I’m Tom. I play every denomination of trumpet, and I want to help give your project a unique sparkle. I live in London, where I’ve had years of experience playing in the West End, London studios, TV and with bands, and where I trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

I have performed live and in the studio in almost every genre imaginable, so offer any style and combination of instruments (any type of trumpet, at least!) to record for your track. For my arranging projects, I particularly enjoy mixing together different types of trumpets or mutes for interesting textures, or doubling the lead voice on a different instrument for a unique timbre.

I have done lots of work acoustically treating my studio to provide the best quality audio recording. This allows me to play around with mic placement and close/room double miking for different sound colours.

After recording, I will send an example mp3 file which you can use to request any revisions—I’m not happy until you are! If you’re not sure exactly what you’re looking for, I can create some illustrative tracks for ideas, or we can talk over video call to discuss things—at no extra cost. When you’re happy, I’ll send the complete take(s), unedited to give you complete freedom.

Instruments
Two different trumpets, flugelhorn, cornet, piccolo trumpet, Eb/D trumpet, bugle, baroque trumpets and cornetto (I challenge you to come up with a use for these!!)

Mutes (these can be really useful)
Straight, cup, harmon, plunger, pixie, solotone, bucket, fibre, whisper
