IZ on SoundBetter

Specialized in pop and electronic music, IZ is a music producer, mix/master engineer and songwriter. Having worked in the industry for over 6 years, he has collaborated and ghost-produced artists from labels like Warner, Universal, Spinnin' Records, Proximity and many more.

Graduated from SAE Institute and Middlesex University Audio Engineering Diploma.

His references are based on pop sound and electronic music, mostly specialized in, Deep House, Tech House, EDM, Techno, Ambient and Lo-fi music.

In his old project as 'Magnace' he got an official remix to "The chainsmokers" that reached two million plays on Spotify. His other tracks reached more than 4 millions plays too, including "Her Name", including in "Netherlands Viral Top 50".

In the demo section you can listen to some of his compositions. "Shade", "Doomed To Feel" and "Pixel Love", that are part of an unreleased EP of his personal project, which it set to be launched on February 2021. He has produced full instrumental, composed the lyrics, top line melody, chosen the vocal and mixed and mastered all of demos.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I offer a full production of a track since the very first beginning, convert your demo in a professional track accomplishing to all standards in music industry, mixing and mastering.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Trust, success, freshness, pureness, no shortcuts. I do my best in every job, so I guarantee your satisfaction.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: As I said before, in my personal project, I worked in production, lyrics, top line, mixing and mastering, it took me many years to master each of these skills but I finally did it, and for now, you can listen some of the demos of my project in the "demo section" of my Soundbetter profile!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working in my own music project as an artist, I've been working on it for 2 years, and it will finally come out next month
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes, I've worked recently with a singer called "Faye Nightingale", her voice is one of the best I've ever heard.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Why do I have to choose? Nothing better than taking advantage of the color and distortion provided by analog equipment with the precision and creativity allowed by digital equipment
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm very good at sound design, I like to give to my clients, original sounds in a successful production. I also consider myself very versatile when it comes to adapting to specific genres or different sounds that are different from the rest.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I currently have my Focal Shape 65 monitors, Vicoustic panels for acoustic treatment, Apollo Twin Duo interface with Universal Audio Plugins, Machine Mk3 for sampling and create crazy drum loops, Rode NT1 microphone, Casio Celviano AP-470 where I record my piano tracks and my super last generation Mac Mini with Logic Pro X.
