I’ve always loved music. Grew up in the festival scene, and I was always going to shows. I knew it was the life for me. Studied audio production from 2010-2012; I became very passionate about electronic music but LOVE all different kinds of genres. I’m honestly just fascinated by the whole process of music - inspiration to creation, to mixing and mastering, all the way to releasing that music into the world.

I love mastering tracks, and giving it that sonic and dynamic quality that it deserves; all the while, bringing out the BEST qualities of the track. Ready to work? Let’s get it! Click that green button and let’s talk!

Anthony is incredible to work with! He has been mastering all of my tracks over the past year and has become my go-to person if I need a song mastered. I recently landed a song in CBS’s music library and needed mastered versions of the song and all of the stems and had to submit them all within a matter of days. I contacted Anthony and he immediately made himself available to master everything for me that day. He is always timely and willing to be flexible and available in order to help the people he partners with. He is someone I will continue to work with for years down the road!

Interview with Anthony Brewer

  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: Sure! I have a custom build desk modeled after the Output one. I use Yamaha HS8’s, with the Scarlett interface. I have Sennheiser 380 HD closed back headphones, as well as the 600 HD Semi-Open. Bass traps/sound treatment in the room; One subwoofer and SubPac on the way; Proficient user in Ableton Live; I primarily work digitally within the box, but also have access to other great analog equipment.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Just working on new music. I just released an album not too long ago with my Mammyth project - called Mythical!

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: A huge misconception is that you have to have a "million dollar studio" to master songs properly... all you need are good ears, a good room, and a clean mix to work with.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: I love mastering because you're the last person who gets to touch it before it becomes streaming ready, and ready for release. It can be a lot of pressure, but a lot of fun and is very rewarding.

  9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  10. A: I'd love to work with Mac Demarco. Not only is he a great musician, but has great ears for his mixes, and just think his flavor with analog recordings are so dope.

  11. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  12. A: The master will sound excellent, and you’ll always be in the loop with what’s going on!

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: I typically work on electronic music, but really enjoy working on hip-hop/rap, as well as some indie or rock bands.

  15. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  16. A: Both bring a lot to the table. There are a lot of great plug-ins out there that make a track sound amazing. However, I think if analog is an option for someone, then I'd say go analog. It brings a sound, and warmth that digital just doesn't seem to bring.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Is there anything in your mix that you can change or improve before you send it to me? Do you have reference tracks? Or a "sound" you want your song/album to resemble? What's your vision for this project?

  19. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  20. A: One music production tip of all time! -Never give up! Literally summarizes anything you can be taught in this industry, because if you don't quit, you win! As long as you keep moving forward, you will get better, and constantly improve - whether you feel it or not. Keep on keepin' on!

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: Oh man... where to start with this. As far as musicians that inspire me, anything from the Beatles, all the way to Sublime, are constant inspirations to me. I get a great deal of inspiration from jam-bands, hip-hop, and electronic influences.

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: I do stereo/stem mastering for clients, but am available for mixing for clients as well as full on audio production, like custom beats for clients.
