This guy did a great job on my track. He listened to what I requested and made it work. I've had experiences with engineers before that have been hard work and ended up with a finished product that I wasnt very happy with but not this time. Highly recommend.

Habischman is a cool guy, down to earth and professional. It's a blessing to have an established DJ/producer like him to give me a detailed feedback on my track over a zoom call. A true talent and professional to work with. Super quick turn around times for various different projects and Habischman is always easy to talk to / communicate amends and revisions. Habischman is also great at understanding the needs of his client and genuinely cares about any given project he is working on - hence the level of quality that is delivered for the finished product. This has been repeatedly demonstrated throughout our many different productions together.
Habischman is an expert mixing engineer. He mixed & produced our podcast and made it sound like a professional radio show. He is very creative and helps your project stand out. Highly recommended.

Interview with Habischman
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: 20 years.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision and how you want this track to sound? Why these sounds? How long should this track be? Which songs inspired you? If they have any specific labels in mind for their productions.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: A collaboration with Hot Since 82 followed by Dubfire remix. It was a fun collaboration and got amazing support and received many BBC R1 plays, also one of my favourite tracks that I produced called 'Teleport' that got massive support from Artbat and had so many plays in great festivals in 2019. Some releases on Dubfire's Sci+Tec, Knee Deep In Sound, Noir, and a 2xCD mix compilation on Global Underground. I was also one of the Red Bull Music Academy participants in 2018 and it was great fun and life changing experience.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Your ears make it sound good. It's all about creating amazing music. No matter what you use. If you can afford Analog why not, but there are tons of amazing plugins that sound as good as Analog machines. Don't worry too much and work on your creative process.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You will have a professional record that every single DJ wants to play in their sets.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I'm a creative person and I love making new tracks everyday. That's my mindfulness! I like it when I listen to clients's productions and see how they came up with their arrangements or sound designs.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can you make a hit!? Can you make that sound or what's missing in my music? It's up to your fans and listeners to decide whether it's a good track or not. But I can add that depth to your production and mix and help your music stand out.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: All producers use loops and barely do anything in the studio, anyone can mix tracks with a bunch of plugins.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Mac book pro, Push 2, Monologue, Moog Sub 37, Xone 92 mixer and any type of recording device that could help me record some noise.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Techno, Electronic, Dark, Melodic, Groovy, Cinematic.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Think of a theme for your song. Add sounds that fit that theme. Let's say you wanna make something that reminds you of Space. Find similar sound effects, add the right eft to your drum rack and make the vocals sound unique.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic. Techno, Melodic, Deep house, Textures, Special sound packs.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I create a groove or pad that sounds nice. I start adding layers and try to create a journey for an arrangement. Movies inspire me so I try to create songs that remind me of that movie I watched and I liked. If you check my 'Signals' track on Sci+Tec it will remind you of the Terminator 2 and robots ;-)
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I Need to discover ;-)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Moby, because I love his productions and he creates a combination of organic and electronic music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Groove production, arrangement, sound design, mixing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Excitement, creativity, nice and unique sound design, depth and space.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Based in the Qube studio in west London . I have access to great digital and analog set up.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Electronic music production, House, Techno. I work with some of the biggest record labels and artists from around the world. My productions are supported by lots of professional DJs in the music industry including Dubfire, Tale of Us, Artbat, John Digweed, Nicole Moudaber, Pete Tong. I can definitely help you with your production and sound design. I create professional Techno and Electronic sound packs for Splice.com.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A couple of EPs and remixes for great underground record labels. Techno and electronic sound packs for Splice.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: You are so close to finishing your masterpiece you just need additional help. Don't quit yet. You'll get there. trust me!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Anyone who makes great music. I listen to all genres and I believe there is something special in every record. You just need to listen carefully.
