Sae has excellent skills and a great feel for finding a vibe in a production. Love the result of what we worked on. Highly recommended.

Interview with Saë

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My first collaboration with an artist abroad was with the Californian singer XKYLAR. She contacted me because she liked my style and asked me if I could compose for her. We worked remotely and had great synergies. We also worked together on the promotion of the track. In the end, she was very happy.

  3. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  4. A: My experience and love for all kinds of music. I've been a musician for 14 years and worked in various bands, and projects genres. So I'm used to adapting to the people with who I work.

  5. Q: What's your typical work process?

  6. A: My workflow is aligned with the client's needs. Typically, I start with the piano or the guitar. I try to find catchy chords and nice melodies. When that first part is completed, then it depends. I do all the the structure of the song, otherwise I start doing the arrangements.

  7. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  8. A: I'm composing for sync projects. In parallel, I'm working on my first EP and on a new live set.

  9. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  10. A: It depends what you desire.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I love doing something creative and when my work gives the chills to the client.

  13. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  14. A: - My Macbook + Softwares. - My Roland A49. - My Sennheiser HD25. - My Fender Stratocaster. - My Duet Apogee.

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: Tom Misch. He seems so chill and I would love to add more funkiness to his jazzy sound.

  17. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  18. A: Not be afraid of experimenting and trying some new things. It often leads to amazing results.

  19. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  20. A: Usually I work on Electronic Nu Disco tracks. But, I can extend to Hip Hop music, Electronic Pop, ambient music and other electronic genres.

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: As a multi-instrumentalist and producer, I aim to bring to the song this authenticity as if it was recorded by sessions musicians for a singer but I also try to make it personal, simple, clean.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've always been musically inclined and started playing the bass guitar at age 11. I always wanted to compose either for myself or for others and bring music to life. My solo artist career began 3 years ago. In parallel I've been collaborating with other artists and loving it.

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: My Studio is fully equipped with instruments, hardware, software and gears. - Instruments: Fender Stratocaster (Guitare), Seagull S6 CW (Acoustic Guitar), Ibanez ATK 300 and Roadstar series (Bass Guitar) and Yamaha P50 (Keyboard), Korg Minilog (Synthesizer). - Gear: - Other

  27. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  28. A: Work until the client is fully satisfied and do the best that I can.

  29. Q: How would you describe your style?

  30. A: Electro-Funk / Nu Disco.

  31. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  32. A: Dabeull, FKJ, Haywyre, The Kount, Shook.

  33. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  34. A: Mainly, I create songs for singers who are searching for something very groovy and energetic or something chill and atmospheric. Or I work with short film markers. in this case i adjust to the client's needs.
