Jo Harris on SoundBetter

Professional bassist coming from the world of gospel with the ability to bring soul and emotion to your creations. My influences range from Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Derek Hodge and Andrew Gouchè among many others.

I am YOUR session bassist. I offer my skills to give your tracks the bounce it needs, to give the listener that "push" in their chest.

I have more than 15 years of experience playing bass guitar. I began playing in the churches of rural South Carolina and began working professionally as music director at age 20. After acting as MD for four years, I relocated to Barcelona and began working with Taller de Musícs as a session bassist for their youth music program. I was then recruited by bands such as Bemba Saoco, Praxis, Liam Cloud and Jezebel Lies, Afrobeats Club Barcelona and many more.

I specialize in R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Gospel, and Rock music.

  24. A: I started playing in churches in South Carolina around three years old. I began with drums, then moved on to guitar, saxophone and finally bass guitar at 11 years old.
