Amazing and unique vocalist delivering genuine creativity with an exquisite topline melody, totally appreciating my vision for the song. A clear and concise workflow helped to make a great experience - highly recommended.

Interview with Lexi X -female pop singer

  1. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  2. A: I admire several pop artists, including Zara Larsson, Bebe Rexha, Daya, Astrid S, Madison Beer, Camila Cabello, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Tove Lo, and Lady Gaga. Hip hop artists I admire include Cardi B, Lexy Panterra, Trina, City Girls, and Saweetie.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am continually practicing and making gains on a daily basis. I often challenge myself to write a song in a new genre, but mostly I practice in various subgenres of pop.

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: The biggest misconception is that you have to go straight to a big-name producer in order to have a successful production. It's all about the quality of the finished product.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: I go about things in a way that allows you to have as much or as little input as you want. If you don't know what you want and you want me to surprise you with something amazing, I can do that. If you do have ideas you can articulate, I can work with that as well.

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Don't be afraid to use a loop or two here and there--it can really make a big difference in a production and it's not "cheating" as long as you don't overuse them. A well-placed loop can actually increase the uniqueness of your sound by expanding your creative options beyond what you can physically play (a clever percussion loop when you are not a drummer, for example).

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: My strongest skill is my ability to discern what instruments would sound best for a particular track--I have been told I have a strong ear for production choices.

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: I bring a unique sense of creativity and intrigue to the tracks I make. They have been described as "lush pop tracks". I have a knack for bringing a modern touch to anything I work on.

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: Many people write song lyrics that they don't know what to do with and aren't sure how to set to music. With my strong musical background, I generally know what sounds good and can transform plain words into melody and music a lot faster than the average person.
