Jerry was great to work with! I got to work with him on a really cool rock style song. He provided everything I needed to sing the vocal and was a true professional with the whole process. I highly recommend working with him if he reaches out to you!

Interview with Jerry Dixon

  1. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  2. A: Music is not work and those of us who make it together aren't clients. People I work with are just like minded musicians with a passion for ALL aspects of music creation.

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: Stop looking at the computer screen, and all the pretty plug ins to use your ears.

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: Bass, Writing, Mixing

  7. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  8. A: I recently had an all outboard studio with SSL X-Racks , SSL Sigma summing unit, 4 LA-4's, Neve Master Buss, Universal Audio x16's. As good as all these things are to have it really made working and mixing very complicated and in the end. I'd mix the same song with the outboard gear and then in the box. The box mix always felt better because I was more focused on the music, not the gear. I truly believe recording and EXPECTATIONS of the end result start at the writing and planning phase. 1. If go into a real studio, with real mics and real musicians your going to end up with a great pro track. 2. If you use the drummer track in Logic-X and record at home, well, we can make it sound better
