Le Café Mixé on SoundBetter

Mixing with a preference for rock, jazz and folk projects . I give to your music a very powerful and natural sound ,respectful of the artist's vision. References: Steve Albini,Coltrane,Jesus Lizard,Girls against Boys,Neil Young,Miles Davis...

Who am i ?
Hello my name is Vince.
I am 48 and i am a mixing engineer at Le Café Mixé in France.
https://lecafemixe.fr/realisations/
I using an hybrid method (analog summing) to get a sound more thick and 3 dimensional like big vintage consoles do.

What i do.
I start by classifying the tracks by groups (drums, guitars, vocals, etc.). Each track is checked and cleaned if necessary. I then check the correct alignment of the tracks of instruments recorded by multiple microphones to avoid phase problems which cause frequency cancellations and therefore loss of punch and consistency.
A first mono mix of the song is made and then follows in-depth mixing work (eq, compression, panning, effects, etc.).

A first version of the mix is sent to the artist for a first review.
Once the version is validated, I send it to the artist in the format he wants (wav, flac, mp3).

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.
