I'm going to say something controversial: Bass tone matters. I believe all different styles of music deserve diligence in finding the perfect bass tone to fit the best in the mix, and I just so happen to love rock & metal the most. I use Kemper amplification and Dingwall basses, most frequently. Ampeg, G&K, Aguilar, Microtubes; I can do them all!
